your wiener's in good hands

We opened Kevin's House because of Kev.

Our fickle gal loves what she loves and… doesn’t love the rest. She needs a little extra care, positive reinforcement, and some confidence boosting to help her feel safe and secure.

She also loves other dachshunds. We could see early on how beneficial her sausage friendships were. Since Kev is an ‘only dachshunds’ kinda gal, we knew the only real options for her care when we traveled were friends + family. We wanted to give other doxie parents another option — the kind we wish we had.

At Kevin’s House, your dachshund checks in with us, to their home away from home. Since we offer exclusivity for doxies, we’re able to provide personalized care and tailored experiences for their unique and rambunctious personalities.

At home, your pup becomes an honorary member of our quirky family. We might take a trip to grandma's house, explore charming farmers markets, or frolic in an ad-hoc dachshund-only park. On those warm, sunny days, our pack will unwind on delightful dog-friendly patios, soaking up fun and fresh air. A few times we’ve been told we’re, “living the dream!” and honestly, we can’t disagree.

When the wieners aren’t active, they have plenty of downtime options. From naps on laps to snuggles on the sofa — we are generous with the love.

Our home is set up for your pup’s short legs and long bodies. We understand the unique traits of dachshunds and can handle issues like reactivity and separation anxiety with positive reinforcement. When Kevin was a puppy, we took part in training with When Hounds Fly which helped immensely and is a key part of our day-to-day handling.

a love through the ages
